Symphony Coffeehouse is looking for a friendly, dependable, hardworking, and experienced barista to join our team.
We are a specialty coffeehouse offering quality espresso drinks, freshly prepared food, pastries, and a selection of beer and wine.

Key Responsibilities
Coffee & Customer Service
• Prepare espresso drinks, specialty coffees, teas, and other beverages.
• Provide outstanding customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
• Operate the POS system and handle customer transactions.
• Serve beer and wine in compliance with Oregon OLCC regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked beverage station.
Food Preparation
• Prepare breakfast sandwiches, paninis, and other café menu items following Symphony's recipes and standards.
• Assist with back-of-house kitchen operations.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage procedures.
• Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
Cleaning & General Café Maintenance
• Maintain a clean and welcoming café throughout the entire shift.
• Clean and sanitize tables, counters, equipment, food preparation areas, and customer seating.
• Wash dishes, sweep and mop floors, remove trash, and restock supplies.
• Maintain clean restrooms, kitchen areas, and customer spaces.
• Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties.

Qualifications
• Previous professional barista experience strongly preferred.
• Experience preparing espresso beverages and steaming milk.
• Café or restaurant food preparation experience is a plus.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Oregon OLCC Alcohol Service Permit before performing alcohol service duties.
• Must hold or obtain an Oregon Food Handler Card as required.
• Must meet Oregon's legal age requirements for assigned alcohol-service duties.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
